Making informed decisions...this is what the monitoring is all about.
The information that is collected and evaluated is used to make informed decisions regarding the on-going safe and efficient operation of the facility. If the monitoring system is planned, designed, and implemented properly then informed decisions will be made based on a good understanding of how the facility is performing.
On occasion, the performance issues that are important and whether the monitoring system is still monitoring the appropriate parameters should also be evaluated as part of the decision process.
